Step-by-Step Guide

Sign up for or log into your SMS provider account (such as Twilio). ToucanText uses your provider to send messages — it does not act as the carrier.

Inside your provider dashboard:

• Enter your legal business name
• Provide your EIN (or tax ID)
• Submit your company address and website

Your provider verifies your business identity with U.S. carriers.

Step 3: Register Your A2P 10DLC Campaign

You must submit:

• The type of messages you plan to send (sales, support, reminders, etc.)
• How customers opt in to receive SMS
• Sample message content
• A link to your privacy policy

Carriers review and approve your campaign.

Step 4: Attach a Phone Number to the Campaign

Once approved, assign your SMS-enabled number to the registered campaign inside your provider account.

Step 5: Connect ToucanText

Inside Zoho CRM:

• Enter your provider credentials
• Add the inbound webhook URL
• Test sending a message

You are now compliant and ready to send SMS through ToucanText.

Technical / Admin Notes

ToucanText requires an approved A2P 10DLC campaign prior to message transmission for U.S.-based traffic.

A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) registration is a mandatory carrier compliance framework. All business SMS must be associated with a verified Brand and Campaign ID.

Administrative Requirements:

• Complete Brand Registration with EIN validation
• Register an appropriate Campaign Use Case
• Provide opt-in/opt-out disclosure language
• Submit message samples for carrier review
• Associate approved phone numbers with the campaign

ToucanText integrates via secure webhook connection to your SMS provider. It does not broker or resell messaging traffic. Compliance, deliverability, and usage billing remain within your provider account.

Failure to register A2P 10DLC may result in blocked traffic, filtering, or carrier penalties.
